Prepared "pro se" motion in the Mississippi Supreme Court on behalf of Turner Paul Smith, who had been sentenced to life without parole on a burglary conviction as an habitual offender. A "plain error" in sentencing had not been noticed by his defense and appellate counsel, the trial judge, or any of the justices of the Supreme Court on a prior appeal 4 years earlier.

Prepared "pro se" appeal in the Mississippi Supreme Court which led to Mississippi Attorney General's determination that thousands of probationers in Mississippi were unlawfully committed to state restitution-correctional facilities as a condition of their probation.

Appeal to Mississippi Supreme Court Results in Reduction of Sentence and Release from Prison

Prepared "pro se" appeal in the Mississippi Supreme Court which prompted the Jackson County Circuit Court to enter an order effectively reducing Bohl's two 10-year prison sentences for two bad checks totaling $54.67 to "time-served". The only reason given in the order for his release was that it was "in the best interest of justice and fairness." Additionally, the Mississippi Legislature later amended the Mississippi Code so that anyone convicted under the old law could apply to have their conviction erased.
